Spanish Sage Oil (Salvia lavandifolia) is somewhat milder than Dalmatian Sage Oil (Salvia officinalis), aka Common Sage, but still has potential toxicity issues if improperly used. So, make very sure that you use extra dilution, well below the “usual” 2.5% dilution if you are applying this oil to the skin. And, it is also a very good idea to do a small test patch on the soft skin inside the elbow an hour before applying more to a larger area. Clary Sage Oil is still milder yet but has different characteristics and uses.
